William Hague warns President Assad on Syrian reforms
The UK Foreign Secretary spoke of plans for "a managed transition, a political transition" in Syria.
William Hague told Andrew Marr that President Assad was stalling for time and warned the Arab spring showed he "cannot crush the spirit of the Syrian people".
Mr Hague spoke from the Friends of Syria Conference in Istanbul, where 75 nations were meeting to coordinate sanctions and help for the opposition in the country.
