Michel Roux Jr said young people want instant success and do not want to stack shelves, preferring to sit on benefits.

The Masterchef star explained how he started his career cleaning pots and pans, and how he looks for work experience on CVs, claiming the government programme was not slave labour.

He then debated his film with Andrew Neil, Michael Portillo and Jacqui Smith.
