GM foods: Meacher on super tomatoes and trampled fields

The debate over genetically-modified (GM) foods of the 1990s brought about talk super tomatoes, trampled fields, and a newspaper claim of the "prime monster".

Men in white coats are still quietly at work and preparations are almost complete for a new GM wheat field trial in Hertfordshire.

David Thompson spoke to Michael Meacher, Environment Minister from 2001-2003, and Rothamsted Research Director Prof Maurice Moloney.
