Livingstone and gay Tories: Chris Bryant and Mike Freer
The gay Labour MP Chris Bryant said Ken Livingstone's use of the word "riddled" in relation to gay people in the Conservative Party was "pretty daft".
He was in a lively debate with Tory MP Mike Freer about the London mayoral candidate's comments in a New Statesman article for which he later declined to apologise.
Mr Freer said he would "shout down" a Conservative that said something stupid, but said Labour would call for them to be sacked.
Mr Bryant said there was "faux outrage" over the comments as they examined previous comments attributed to Mr Livingstone and Boris Johnson.
