Single-sex or co-educational schools for girls and boys?
Parents seem to want boys in co-educational schools but reckon girls do better in single-sex establishments.
David Thompson looked at the figures and the competing needs of girls and boys, as he spoke to Waldegrave School headteacher Philippa Nunn, Janette Wallis from the Good Schools Guide and Dr Alice Sullivan from the Institute of Education.
