Primary schools: Shortage of places for children

A rise in the number of pupils and a shortage of primary school places has led some councils to consider turning empty shops and playing fields into classrooms.

Adam Fleming spoke to Conservative councillor Roy Perry, parent and school governor Mark Benzie, and Sue Dixon, a senior lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London, about whether free schools can fill the gap.
