Liam Fox inquiry shows 'panic' - Jim Murphy

An investigation into whether the defence secretary broke the ministerial code shows "panic" according to shadow defence secretary Jim Murphy.

Mr Murphy said that questions needed to be answered over Liam Fox's working relationship with his close friend Adam Werritty, and he was concerned that an inquiry would put the matter "in the long grass".

It is claimed Mr Werritty has been on official trips with Mr Fox to Sri Lanka but that he has neither an official role nor security MoD clearance.
