Margaret Thatcher handbag sold at auction


Margaret Thatcher's use of the fashion accessory gave rise to the phrase "hand-bagging". One of her infamous bags was expected to raise £100,000 at an auction.

The Daily Politics looked back over some images of Lady Thatcher's handbags, before fashion expert Caryn Franklin discussed its place in history.

UPDATE: The bag later sold at auction for £25,000.
