Clegg: Regret but no apology over tuition fees increase
Lib Dem leader and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has told the BBC that despite having "massive regrets" about breaking his election pledge he will "not apologise for one minute" about the proposed plans to increase University tuition fees.
While the policy of the government is to support a rise, under the terms of the coalition agreement Lib Dem MPs, including ministers, are allowed to abstain on the issue.
