Probation union Napo predicts rise in prisoner numbers


Harry Fletcher from the National Association of Probation Officers (NAPO) union predicts a rise in prison numbers after cuts to police and probation numbers.

He spoke as Justice Secretary Ken Clarke promises to end the "remorseless rise" in prisoner numbers with a Green Paper aiming to make prisons in England and Wales more purposeful and toughening up community sentences.
