Spending Review: Schools 'above other departments'


George Osborne has said there will be an increase in money for schools over the next four years, with the budget for them rising from £35bn to £39bn.

He said the increase would mean bigger cuts in other areas, "but I believe strongly this is the right choice for our country's future".
