Hague denies allegations of relationship with adviser

One of William Hague's special advisers has resigned over "untrue and malicious" rumours made against him, the foreign secretary has said.

Mr Hague said suggestions that Christopher Myers' appointment was due to an improper relationship between them were "utterly false".

He also issued a personal statement denying his marriage was in trouble.
