Lord Mandelson: My book The Third Man tells the truth

Help

There is growing anger within the Labour Party at the publication of Lord Mandelson's memoirs The Third Man.

His memoirs includes claims that Tony Blair once called Gordon Brown "mad, bad and dangerous" and The Times has reported that Mr Blair is "livid" about the book.

Lord Mandelson defended his memoirs and said it was better timing to publish it now, rather than closer to the next general election.

He said when writing his book he chose to go down the "new, exciting, revealing and entertaining" route.
