Police attacked in Derry after petrol bomb reports

Police have come under attack in Londonderry after responding to reports of petrol bombs being thrown.

They were responding to a report on Monday night that petrol bombs were being thrown from Nailors Row towards the Fountain Estate in Derry.

When they went to the scene shortly after 19:00 GMT, missiles were thrown at police vehicles and bins were set alight on the road.

A police spokesperson described the incident as "minor disorder".
