A man has been shot in the Creggan area of Londonderry.
It happened on Tuesday night at about 19.30 GMT.
Police have said he was put into a car at Ferguson Street and taken to an area between Rinmore Drive and Central Drive.
He was shot once in the lower right leg. He is recovering in Altnagelvin Hospital after undergoing surgery.
The man is in a stable condition.
