East Belfast: Woman, 35, held over prison officer attack is released

A woman arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a prison officer in east Belfast has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The woman, who is 35 years old, was arrested in Belfast on Thursday.

A bomb partially exploded under the officer's van in Hillsborough Drive last Friday morning.

He is in a stable condition in hospital.

Police have been given more time to question three men, aged 34,39 and 45, who were arrested last Sunday.
