SSE Airtricity, which supplies gas to 119,000 customers in greater Belfast, has said it will freeze prices until April 2015.
The announcement follows the half-yearly pricing review by the firm and the Utility Regulator.
The firm said it means customers will have had a two-year price freeze as it last raised tariffs in April 2013.
SSE Airtricity has a market share of 71% of gas customers in greater Belfast, while Firmus has 29%.
Stephen Wheeler, SSE Airtricity managing director, said that since the company bought Phoenix Supply in 2012, it had been able to "introduce much greater price stability" into the market.
