East Belfast petrol bomb attack after fight between 'rival factions'
Two petrol bombs have been thrown in east Belfast, police have said.
One was thrown from the direction of Mountpottinger Road at about 22:00 BST. The other was thrown from the opposite direction at a house.
At about 21:50 BST, police said a fight broke out between rival gangs near Castlereagh Street.
Later, at about 23:30 BST, the windows of a house on the Albertbridge Road were smashed.
Police said they recovered the remains of one petrol bomb and two more petrol bombs from the scene.
A PSNI superintendent said: "Since 15 April 2014, there have been 48 arrests in interfaces in east Belfast for criminal damage and other public order related offences.
"Police are committed to keeping communities safe and will allocate resources as required to do this.
"Parents are reminded to ensure that they know the whereabouts of their children as anyone that is caught engaging in disorder or criminal damage is likely to end up with a criminal record."
