Two cars have been damaged in separate attacks in east Belfast.

On Sunday evening, the window of a car parked in the Park Avenue area was smashed with a brick. Police said they were treating the attack as a hate crime.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested for criminal damage and threats to commit criminal damage.

Police are continuing their inquiries into both attacks.
