Belfast: Man, 33, charged after woman threatened with knife

A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with a hijacking in west Belfast.

He was arrested after a woman was approached by a man with a knife and threatened at New Barnsley Park at about 21:00 BST on Friday.

She was forced out of her car before the man drove off. The car was later found abandoned at La Salle Drive.

The 33-year-old is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He has been charged with a number of offences, including hijacking, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
