Ballyclare car crash: Man dies in Doagh Road collision

A man in his 20s has been killed in a car crash on the Doagh Road near Ballyclare, County Antrim.

The car in which he was travelling left the road near Ballyclare Cemetery shortly before 01:30 BST.

Two other men who were in the vehicle were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The police have appealed for witnesses.

Councillor for the area, Noreen McClelland, described the accident as "heart-breaking news".

She said: "My thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family at this tragic time.

"My thoughts are with the two men who were also in the car at the time. I hope they make a full recovery."
