Man charged after 'swords threat' in south Belfast
A 27-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences after he threatened people in south Belfast with two weapons, believed to be swords.
It happened at Rockland Street in the Village area of the city at about 03:30 BST on Saturday.
The charges include grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and making threats to kill.
The man has also been charged with two counts of common assault.
He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.
