Tobermore car crash: Missing man contacts family

A Dungiven man who went missing after a car crash has been in contact with his family.

Connor O'Kane, 22, was the driver of a car involved in a crash at Draperstown Road in Tobermore, County Londonderry, shortly after 01:00 BST on Monday.

The front of his car was badly damaged in the crash, but Mr O'Kane was not at the scene when police arrived.

A passenger, who suffered a head injury, did not know where Mr O'Kane was.

Police said that Mr Kane has now spoken to his family on the phone.

However, police are still treating this case as a missing person investigation as Mr Kane has not returned home.

Mr O'Kane is described as being 5ft 11ins tall, with ginger hair and is of a slim, athletic build.

Police want anyone who has seen him, or knows where he is, to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
