Four men charged with IRA membership

Four Belfast men have been remanded in custody charged with IRA membership.

Kevin O'Neill, 58, from Coolnasilla Park South, is also charged with directing IRA activities between December 2013 and June 2014.

Robert Warnock O'Neill, 37, of Bingnian Drive, Daniel McClean, 47, of Hannahglen Heights and Mark Gerard Heaney, 48, of Lagmore Glen were also in court.

They are accused of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

They are also charged with unlawful imprisonment and collecting information likely to be of use to terrorists.

Robert Warnock O'Neill is also accused of having a gun and Mark Gerard Heaney faces two other charges of authorising an attack on someone and having a gun.
