Hate crime motive probed over Lisburn towpath attack

Police are investigating whether an assault on two men in Lisburn, County Antrim, was a hate crime.

The men, aged 32 and 36 and believed to be Polish, were attacked by a number of men on the River Lagan towpath between Bridge Street and Hill Street.

It happened at about 02:20 BST on Saturday.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
