Burglars attack man and teenager in Carnlough, County Antrim

A man and a teenager have been attacked by burglars in County Antrim.

At midday on Wednesday, two men confronted the 56-year-old man at his house in Croft Avenue, Carnlough.

They punched him and bound his hands with cable ties.

They also tied up a 17-year-old girl who was in another room in the house. They asked for money and ransacked the house.

Police said the men left on foot down an alley way. The burglars are thought to be in their 40s. One had red hair and was wearing a checked shirt. The other has a receding hairline.

Police have appealed for information.
