Teenager stabbed in Quadrant Place, west Belfast

A 17-year-old teenager has been stabbed in the Quadrant Place area of west Belfast.

The male victim was stabbed a number of times at about 15:00 BST, after being confronted by a man armed with a knife at the front door of his house.

He has been taken to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 51-year-old woman, who was also in the property, was injured when she tried to shut the door against the man.

She received a minor cut to her arm in the scuffle.

The man then chased the victim before stabbing him.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
