Cannabis plants seized by police in south Armagh

Cannabis plants with a potential street value of more than £77,000 have been seized by police in south Armagh.

The PSNI said officers had uncovered a sophisticated cannabis factory during a search at a farm on Rowan Road in Derrynoose, Keady, on Wednesday.

The plants, cultivation equipment and other items have been removed for examination.

A number of items believed to be used in fuel laundering were also found at the farm.

Police were assisted in the operation by officials from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) as part of efforts to tackle fuel laundering in the south Armagh area.
