Derry burglaries may be linked: PSNI

Police are investigating a possible link between three burglaries in Londonderry on Saturday morning.

The houses in Iniscarn Road, Cromore Gardens and Templemore Park were entered between 04:50 BST and 06:20 BST.

A handbag and keys were taken from Iniscarn Road, a purse from Cromore Gardens, while nothing is thought to have been taken from the house at Templemore Park.

Police have appealed for information.

Mobile shop

In a separate incident, detectives are also investigating a burglary in the Woodbrook area of the city at about 02:30 BST on Sunday.

A police spokesman said: "It was reported that a property in the area had been entered and a quantity of cash and two handbags stolen.

"Keys for a mobile shop were also stolen.

"The mobile shop was also entered and a sum of cash and quantity of cigarettes stolen."

A 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested.
