Two men killed in separate crashes in County Down.

Two men have died in separate crashes in County Down.

A 36-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with another vehicle at Deerpark Road, Portaferry, on Tuesday at about 14:10 BST.

Almost an hour later, in a separate incident, Wilfred Vaughan Chambers, 68, from Newry, died following a collision at Windsor Hill in the city.

It is understood Mr Chambers was using a mobility scooter when the accident happened.

Another man is in hospital following that crash. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police have appealed to witnesses to come forward.
