Dunmurry: Man shot twice in paramilitary-style attack

A 23-year-old man has been shot twice in the leg in a paramilitary-style attack on the outskirts of Belfast, police have said.

He was in a takeaway restaurant at Juniper Hill, Dunmurry, on Tuesday evening at about 21:45 BST.

Another man came in and dragged him out. Police said he was taken to ground at the back of Glasvey Drive where two other men were waiting.

He was shot in the knee and ankle. He was taken to hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have appealed for information.
