Lanark Way robbery: Masked gang rob Belfast driver

A motorist in west Belfast has been robbed by three masked men, one of whom was armed with a hatchet.

The man was driving in Lanark Way at about 06:30 BST on Monday when a small silver car pulled in front of him forcing him to stop.

Two of the three masked men in the other car got out of their vehicle, including one with the hatchet, and got into the man's car.

They stole a mobile phone and cash. The driver was not injured.

However, he was left badly shaken by the robbery.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
