Police in Derry make Easter drugs arrests

Police made a number of arrests for alleged drugs offences in Londonderry over the Easter weekend.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with possessing a Class B drug and assaulting police after a house search in Shantallow on Saturday.

On Saturday and Sunday, two women, aged 39 and 23, were arrested for having drugs in the Edenballymore area.

One is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon. Both were bailed pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man is to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service for alleged possession of Class B drugs at Lone Moore Road on Sunday.
