Arrests after 50kg drug mix seized in west Belfast

Three men have been arrested after mixing agents that can be used to bulk up Class A drugs were seized in west Belfast.

Two men, aged 32 and 30, were arrested after a car was stopped on Old Brewery Lane on Thursday evening and 50kg of mixing agent was recovered.

A 64-year-old man was later arrested in north Belfast following a search. Several items were seized.

Police also recovered items at a property in Lisburn, County Antrim.

The three men are being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drug and encouraging or assisting offences.
