Murder investigation into death of east Belfast baby

Police have begun a murder investigation following the death of a baby who was critically injured in east Belfast last month.

The child was taken to hospital following an incident at a house at Connsbrook Avenue on Friday 7 March.

A woman, understood to be the child's mother, was arrested at the time of the incident.

She has since been detained under the Mental Health Act.
