£900,000 of cannabis seized in south Belfast

Police have seized herbal cannabis with an estimated value of £900,000 at two houses in south Belfast.

Cannabis and drugs paraphernalia worth an estimated £500,000 were found in Rugby Avenue and £400,000 worth in nearby Haypark Avenue.

No arrests were made during the planned searches.

Det Chief Insp Catherine Montgomery from the PSNI Organised Crime Branch described it as a "significant seizure".
