Castlederg: Assault on teenager treated as hate crime

Police are treating an assault on a teenager in County Tyrone as a hate crime.

The 17-year-old was attacked by three other males in Castlederg Main Street at around 23:50 GMT on Monday.

He was treated in hospital after suffering cuts and bruising.

An 18-year-old man has been released on bail pending further inquiries after being arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
