Three houses damaged in Carrickfergus arson attack

Three houses have been damaged in an arson attack in Carrickfergus.

Police and fire crews were called to Broadlands Gardens shortly after 01:00 GMT on Saturday after receiving reports that a house and oil tank were on fire.

Substantial damage was caused to one of the houses, two other adjoining properties were also affected.

No-one was injured, but police said they were treating the incident as arson with intent to endanger life.

The PSNI have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
