Man's body recovered from River Lagan after search

Police divers have recovered the body of man from the River Lagan in Belfast.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man going into the water at Donegall Quay near the city centre at about 18:30 GMT.

Dozens of members of the emergency services were involved in the search operation which continued late into the night.

It is believed the man was in his 30s. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
