Cars damaged in overnight attacks in Newry

Police are investigating after two cars were vandalised in Newry, County Down.

Corrosive liquid was poured over the vehicles in Iveagh Crescent and Violet Hill Avenue on Friday night.

Sinn Féin councillor Charlie Casey said the owners of the car in Iveagh Crescent had been left with a bill of hundreds of pounds.

Mr Casey said it was a "senseless attack" and called on anyone with information to contact police.
