Teenager beaten by gang in alleyway in north Belfast

A 17-year-old boy has been pulled into an alleyway and beaten in north Belfast.

He was dragged from outside a shop in Hopewell Crescent by two men around 22:55 GMT on Friday.

The teenager was then attacked by a number of people who were waiting in a nearby alleyway.

He is being treated for injuries to his face and a suspected fractured wrist. Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them.
