Prisoner arrested after Enniskillen visit escape

A prisoner from England who absconded in County Fermanagh has been arrested.

A spokesperson form the Prison Service said the prisoner had absconded while on a licensed home visit to an ill relative in Enniskillen.

It is understood the man is a life sentence prisoner. He was later arrested by local police.

"The Prison Service has launched an investigation into the incident," said a Prison Service spokesperson.
