Armed and masked men rob Derry bookmaker's

A bookmaker's shop has been robbed at gunpoint in Londonderry's Creggan area.

At about 20:30 GMT on Friday, two masked men - one armed with a handgun - entered the shop at Central Drive.

A member of staff was threatened during the robbery, but was not injured. It is believed the men escaped with cash.

One of them was about 5ft 8ins tall, slim, and was wearing a ski mask and a black leather jacket. The other robber, who also wore a ski mask, was slightly taller and was wearing a padded coat.

He remained at the front door of the shop during the robbery.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

It is the fourth armed robbery at a bookmaker's shop in the area since 15 December.
