Paschal 'Basil' McAfee Paschal 'Basil' McAfee was found dead by his mother

A 34-year-old man arrested over the murder of Paschal 'Basil' McAfee, 50, in north Belfast has been released unconditionally.

Mr McAfee's body was found by his mother at a house in Henderson Avenue, off the Cavehill Road on Friday 20 December.

Police said he had been stabbed multiple times.

Mr McAfee was last seen in an off-licence in Henderson Avenue at about 16:00 GMT on Thursday 19 December.

The victim - who had two children - had only recently moved into the area.

It is understood he was originally from Ardoyne, also in north Belfast.
