Drivers warned over ice on NI roads

Motorists have been urged to drive very carefully on roads across Northern Ireland due to the risk of ice.

As temperatures fell below freezing on Christmas night, the Roads Service salted roads across Northern Ireland that were considered to be at risk.

Further salting of roads had been scheduled for Thursday morning.

A spokesperson for the Roads Service said people were advised to exercise extreme caution when travelling.
