An overnight security alert in the Beechmount area of west Belfast has ended.

Army bomb experts were called to examine a car in St Mary's Gardens, but nothing suspicious was found.

During the night about 100 families were moved out of their homes.

A nearby community centre was opened for residents who had to leave their homes.
