Missing Roscommon family found in Enniskillen

A County Roscommon family who were the subject of a child rescue alert have been found safe and well in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.

Fiona Gregg, 41, and her children Killian, eight, Elisha, six, and Derbhla, two, had last been seen at a school in Ballyforan, Roscommon, at about 15:00 GMT on Wednesday.

A Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) alert was issued by gardaĆ­ on Thursday morning.

It was cancelled after the family was found by the PSNI on Thursday morning.

It was only the second time a CRI alert had been issued by the Garda since the policy was initiated in 2012.

The alerts are only launched where a child is under the age of 18, where there is a reasonable belief that the child has been abducted or where there is a reasonable belief that there is an immediate and serious risk to the health or welfare of a child.
