Woman, 51, targeted in north Belfast sex attack

A 51-year-old woman has been beaten and sexually assaulted by three men in north Belfast.

She suffered a suspected broken nose and cheek bone in the attack.

It happened as she was walking through an alleyway between the Crumlin Road and Balholm Drive early on Sunday morning.

A 49-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the attack has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

Police have appealed for information.
