Verdict will 'lay to rest' memory of abuse

Áine Adams has said the guilty verdict will 'lay to rest the memory of the five-year-old girl who was abused'.

Liam Adams, a brother of Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams, has been convicted of raping and abusing his daughter.

Adams, 58, from Bernagh Drive, Belfast, was found guilty of ten offences against his daughter, Áine Adams

In a statement read by a police officer, she thanked all those involved in the case.
