Woman stabbed in north Belfast attack

A woman from north Belfast is being treated in hospital after being repeatedly stabbed, according to police.

The assault occurred in the Glenrosa Link area of the city on Tuesday.

Police were contacted at about 07:00 BST about a 26-year-old woman who had received multiple stab wounds after a man entered her house.

A 20-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and is currently believed to be in a stable condition.
